Common questions

Response Times and Booking

How do I book?

Call (02) 9023 2087 any time, day or night, and we'll lock in a slot on the spot, or fill in the form on our contact page if typing suits you better.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes, a real person answers at any hour, including weekends and public holidays, never a recorded message. That holds just as true at three in the morning as it does on a Tuesday afternoon.

What counts as a drain emergency?

Sewage rising back through a drain inside the house, a gully well and truly overflowing, or a couple of fixtures clogging up at the same time. Any of those is worth ringing about straight away instead of hoping it settles down on its own.

How fast can you get here?

Same-day is the standard for most calls, and plenty are sorted within a few hours of ringing. Call before lunch and there's usually time to fit you in before the day is out.

Common questions

Pricing, Quotes and Offers

Do prices change once you start?

No, and holding firm on that figure is the entire idea behind quoting upfront. Whatever we agree with you before the job starts is what you pay once it's finished, regardless of how the work goes.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. There's a $0 call-out fee whether we end up doing the job or just having a look and giving you a quote.

What does "$65 off your first service" cover?

New customers get $65 off any first booking with us, drain clearing, a camera inspection or a repair. It applies straight away and stacks with any other current offer.

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

Once we've had a proper look, we settle on a fixed amount together before any tool comes out. Nothing gets tacked on halfway through the job once we've shaken hands on a number.

Common questions

The Lindfield Questions

How local are you, really?

As local as it gets without naming a street address. Our crew works this pocket of Ku-ring-gai every week rather than being a rare visitor sent out for one job.

Can you handle new builds and renovations here?

Yes, from a new kitchen drain line to a full renovation tie-in. With so many older homes being extended or rebuilt nearby, we see both brand-new pipework and decades-old clay in the same week.

Why do Lindfield's older homes get blocked drains?

Plenty of Lindfield's Federation and bungalow homes still run their original earthenware drains from before 1940, and that old clay cracks with ground movement and lets roots straight in. Newer sections built since just don't have the same issue.

Do you handle strata and units?

Where density supports it, yes. Lindfield has a real mix of house blocks and unit buildings near the village and the station, and shared drainage lines in strata need a different approach to a single house's pipes.

Common questions

The Legal Stuff, Made Simple

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A plunger, or a bucket of hot (not boiling) water, will often shift a simple slow drain on its own. Once it's an actual blockage down in the pipework, NSW rules mean a licensed plumber has to be the one doing drainage work, so that's our cue to step in.

What standards does drainage work follow?

All our drainage work follows the AS/NZS 3500 plumbing standards that apply across NSW. It covers everything from pipe materials and falls to how a repair or a new connection has to be done.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Every drain we clear carries a lifetime labour warranty, with no time limit and nothing written in around it. If that same line plays up again, we come back and fix it at no cost, however many years have passed.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

As a general rule, everything inside your property boundary is on you, while the local water authority looks after the main line and where your pipe ties into it. If we find the blockage sits on their side, we'll say so plainly before any work starts.
